Basically what I was wondering about is .. I've got a Toshiba TV impoted from the USA and it has only NTSC standard inbuilt tunners, I was considering switching my analog broadcast antenna to a digital terrestrial broadcast which requires a PAL DVB-T decoder here at my place and broadcasting companies provide one, however I'm not sure if an NTSC TV set can pick up proper picture and sound if hooked to decoder's outputs via HDMI / RGB ports ... ??

Thanks in advance

You unable to use the TV in PAL TV systems countries.

is difference TV system and digital tuner . no way to change the TV system from NTSC to PAL and ACST / QAM tuner to DVB-T / PAL - analog tuner. simply beyond technically .

is waste you time to look for solution.

only option to use the TV >

get an NTSC-PAL video signals converter connect you PAL device VIA AV IN-PUT .

keep in mind.

you unable to use the TV-built tuner ( ACST / QAM-NTSC-analog ) for free view on air TV channel , you need to buy option DVB-T tuner unit or paid for cable box TV services.

low prices NTSC-PAL video signals converter provide low pictures quality . for better pictures quality you need FULLY DIGITAL HDMI VIDEO CONVERTER .

remember - via NTSC-PAL video signals converter is the only solution .

via hdmi or rgb it could well work as NTSC or PAL is only an isue with composite video

I think it depends on if the TV can cope with 50HZ frame rate . The majority of modern TVS can do 50 hz or 60 hz so that they can sell all over the world by just installing an NTSC PAL or SECAM decoder.

NTSC and PAL are the color systems in the tuner. Some TV's don't come with tuners as you don't really need them since most people use cable or satelight boxes. They will support either NTSC or PAL>

If there's a menu option to change the colour system to PAL then there's a good chance it'll work.
