I have a Emerson TV and I broke the remote! I cant figure out how to program my universal remote.?

For a while now i have been trying different universal remotes but i cant figure out how to program them. I have read the directions over and over again but maybe im missing something. Right now i have a Phillips universal remote. Cant anyone give me some advice?!

Here is a list of TV codes for many manufacturers,scan down to find Emerson codes. If you have bought a universal remote it should have a list like this or a code finder method. I have a couple of universal remotes and they aren't that bad to program following the instructions that were included.http://tvremotecodes.org/

well before you try and get another universal remote you should try and get in touch with 1-800-remote see they carry all kinds of remotes and they might just have your Emerson TV remote that you might just need,but if you should get in touch with them just make darn sure that you have the serial number to your remote and the model number to your remote written down on A piece on paper with you when you call them see they do need them both the serial number and the model Number if you do call them.
