Question:
Can you still login to apps such as WatchESPN under these circumstances?

For apps or things that need your cable provider login such as WatchESPN...do those only work if you have a tv package with your provider or would those apps still work and let you login if you only had for example internet but no tv package with a provider like Comcast?

Basically my question is it just based off having any service with say Comcast or specifically do you have to have some tv package? Thanks.

yea it does not work. Like I have interent with comcast but I just have an antenna for watching TV. If I try to use any of the ESPN or other network apps on the ps4 with my login it won't work. You actually have to have an active cable subscription and that subscription must have that channel. Sorry no free lunch so to speak

Depends on the app.

Some apps give you free access so long as you have TV service from a participating provider such as Comcast, otherwise you need to pay for a subscription to them.

Other apps will ONLY let you use them if you have TV service with a provider, and still other apps ONLY let you use them with a subscription no matter who your provider is (or even if you have a provider at all.)
