It was working fine yesterday and today it just stopped working, i assumed it was because my windows updated by i did a system restore to before the update and it still didnt work.
I already tried changing the screen resolution and connecting it to the screen through the control panel. My laptop says its connected to the tv, i can even set the projection to extend and slide pages out of my laptop, but the tv just says no signal. I also tried updating my graphic driver, that didnt help either. Any ideas?

My Toshiba sometimes will do that too if it the blu ray player HDMI feed is lost due to the movie or files ending and the blu ray player automatically shutting off to reserve. The Toshiba might also indicate no signal if the comp HDMI signal is lost or turned off.

What I do is unplug the HDMI input port to the TV and then plug it into a different HDMI input port or I switch off the TV and turn it back on.That makes the signal appear via the new connection and if I switch the input HDMI cable to the original port and select that input on the TV wham the signal is back.

I've seen where my comp HDMI output signal is detected by the TV or monitor and I have to either go into the comps monitor settings and switch back to dual screens. Then switch it again to extended screens or I have to disconnect the HDMI output from the video card.Reboot the comp with no HDMI cable connected to the TV or to the comp. Then turn the comp back off and then plug in the cable again at each end turn on the TV and reboot comp. Then go back into the settings and see if I can get the second monitor to work again.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way I think your problem is probably a TV issue but I've had to even remove the current video card or drivers or both then reboot and reinstall the latest updates.Sometimes an update that may of occurred actually mess's up the video signals etc and I have to go back to a previous driver version that I know worked.Note make sure if you do uninstall the driver that you get rid of all the files, reboot and start from scratch.Even removing a added on or updated video card and having the comp reconfigure to the old add on video card or on-board card then starting over again has to be done before the issue is fixed.

set your TV or laptop resolution to a right range. They should match each other.Generally a HD TV supports 1080P (1920×1080p) or 1080i (1920×1080i,1440x1080i), 720P (1280×720p) via HDMI cable. The source should be among this range, or you will get no signal. So you please check both your laptop and TV resolution to make them match.
