Yesterday at about 5:00pm my TV lost BBC1 & BBC2. I rescanned it about 5 times last night and they never came back. I left it unplugged over night and have rescanned it another 5 times today but there still on there. I have searched through all the channels but there not anywhere. How can I get them back?

Assuming your tv is not faulty (unlikely) then you most probably have a reception problem, i.e. your aerial. To prove this put the tv on another aerial and re-scan or go to "manual tuning" and see what your signal strength and quality are, anything over 35% or so should be ok.

If you are using an indoor set-top aerial then resite it or better still replace it will a real aerial in the loft or outdoors.

Even with a poor signal digital reception can be surprisingly good, I would attempt manual retuning before you get too involved in the aerial. Go to www.digitaluk.co.uk to get the channel number(s) for your area.

Good luck!
