Any outdoor ariel is best. You can get an indoor one and a signal booster but will likely find week signals will limit what you can watch

There are basic rules that govern most antennas:
Bigger is better
Higher is better
That being said where you live has a lot do with what you really need. It is a function of how many transmitter locations exist in your city and their relative location. The best resource I have found is antennaweb (see below). They let you type in your address and will recommend an antenna based on the specifics of your area.
