The Advent Instruction Manual contains manufacturers codes for universal remotes supplied with your Advent TV. If the codes are not listed in the universal remote's manual, you may want to try a code search function. Advents contact details are below.

Universal remotes almost all have "learning" capability. It is much less convenient to set up than having the correct signals all selected by just putting in one code for your particular component, but it works.
The learning setup involves putting the two remotes (old and new) on a table or desk facing each other. You punch in some codes on the new remote to let it know to be ready to see the new signal then select the key you want to put the tv function on, then push that button on the old remote. The new remote will recognize and remember the signal, and after that you can use the new remote the same as the old.

You need to try another Advent code, or get a learning remote, or if you have a OneForAll remote, look up how to do a Keymove.

You could try getting an original replacement. Advent parts are available from Andrewselectronics.com and Vancebaldwin.com

first of all, talk to him and negotiate with him. maby tell him to turn it down a bit. In the mean time, maby talk to the person above the "CHAV" and get them to send letters to the council, the police, and other members in the flat. Keep nagging the council and the police. They should listen to you sooner or later. If this all is crap, and doesn't work. Take justice! Go and buy a cheap small pair of computer speakers, and some soft material, and some duck tape. Stick the speakers to the cealing with the tape, and leave the wires dangling down. pad arround the speakers with the materieal, so only a little of the sound will escape, and annoy other naibours. move your computer/laptop into the room underneath the speakers. Whack the volume up, and off you go. Maby go out for the day, and leave the sound running. When you get back, he should of turned his off and be a bit pissed. THE MUSIC CHAVS HATE!!!! IS HEAVY METAL, ROCK, AND CLASICAL!!!!!! SO DOWNLOAD ALL OF THAT TYPE OF MUSIC AND OFF YA GO!!!!!! Hope this helps Jack.
