Can I use old direct dv dish to get over the air channels?

I use playstation vue to get my cable channels but it doesn t offer live local TV channels and wanted to know if I could uses the direct tv dish that the previous owner had hooked up as a way to get local channels, the only channel I can get with an indoor antenna is NBC and some other random stations I cant get abc CBS or fox

You need an antenna. A satellite dish won't capture the TV signals properly.

You need a proper antenna for broadcast stations, not a satellite antenna. However, it might be a bit better than whatever you're using now, simply because it's metal and is higher in the air. It won't hurt to try it.

The "dish" is not equipped for OTA frequencies.

no ... you need a multi-band antenna ...installed in ln of sight of the tower ..
