What are the pros and cons of Direct TV vs Dish TV?

Question

I've been a cable customer for years. At 1st I had the works. But, as Comcast pissed me off more and more over the years, played 'jack up my price', I reduced service to just the bare minimum. I even use DSL rather than suffer the irritation of Comcast internet.

My question is, 'What are the pro's and cons of Direct TV vs Dish TV'? What should I watch out for? How is the customer service?

I live on Whidbey, Washington, if that is any help.

Any input would be appreciated.

My brother has Direct TV and I have Dish TV. We get the same channels. They really are the same in my opinion. The main difference is that Dish cheaper.



I had Dish for 4 years and they were running a promotion for new customers at a cheaper price. I called them up and talked with them about lowering my monthly charge, as I had been a loyal customer. Guess What ??? They lowered my bill for year !!!

I recently got Dish. Dish TV has more programming for less costs a month, with better service. That is just my personal opinion. With Direct TV the same programming I have would of costs me almost an extra $15/mo.
