On a 32 inch screen....720p will be best.... At that size, you would not see significant difference.! I Would think of 1080 after 37 to 40 inches......Neither size LCD or LED would be much better for gaming, as they both have a slow response time...To actually eliminate all that, you go plasma.! The old burn-in and lifespan issues have been addressed.. Extreme viewing angles too.. (The advertised 120 or 240 'refresh rates' do not really FIX the inherent problem in LCD/LED..)

You're asking which you should get, but you've only provided one URL, for the 1080p Sony. That's a fine set in general terms, but it's not a great choice for using with a game box. The 60 hz refresh rate coupled with its slow 8 ms. response time will just about guarantee you an objectionable level of fast motion blur with games.

As far as the 32 inch screen goes, no, you won't see a difference in picture resolution between 720p and 1080p. But with fast action games, picture resolution won't be your primary complaint.

With LCD and LCD/LED sets, gamers are happier with much faster response times, about 2 ms. if possible, and a 120 hz refresh rate. Even that won't eliminate all fast motion blur, but it's usually a big improvement. Of course, 2 ms. and 120 hz means more money, but a really good TV for game boxes simply doesn't come cheap.

Also, since you're apparently considering Best Buy to purchase it, be aware that Best Buy will stick you for a stiff restocking fee if you decide the set doesn't meet your needs and you try to take it back. To each their own, but I'd prefer buying from a store with a generous no-questions return policy, like Walmart, Target, Costco, or Sam's Club.

If anyone try's to tell you they can see the difference, their nuts. You'll get "on 46 and above you can" I put a 50" 720p in a business and no one knows!
