Change your wide screen /Aspect ratio setting on your TV set, make it fill the screen....
Sometimes, I still get a little short on the sides or top because the MOVIE or show is not actually 16:9 aspect ratio, but 14:9 or 4:3 or 15:10
It is SAFER to FILL the entire screen, rather than risk the possibility of BURNING the edge of the picture into the plasma......

You can do this, but if your broadcast is 4:3 it should show up this way on your widescreen TV. This is normal. You can set it to stretch the image (either through the menu or through the zoom options on the remote if you have that check the manual) but this will distort the picture and also cause a loss of quality. It is not recommended. I'd recommend getting the HD package because the HD channels are broadcast in widescreen and you will not have this problem on those channels (which should include your local stations). If you do set the picture to stretch you may have to reset it when watching something already in a widescreen format.

some plasma television's have a variety interior the menu which will assist you choose a white demonstrate screen or a inverted image to do away with the burn in. How long you will ought to bypass away the white or inverted decision on relies upon on how undesirable the burn in is.

Yes there is a way to fix this make sure that if the TV is a wide-screen it is 16:9 or non wide-screen it is 4:3. To fix it adjust your picture size. if all else fails unplug your TV and let it reset it self.
