For Xbox 360, 720p at 60hz would be what you want. maximum video games do no longer do finished 1080p. while the Wii U comes out this year, which will replace and greater video games would be in finished 1080p. in terms of hz, the xbox 360 (alongside with each little thing else) is going output at 60hz (or at times much less). The time it takes to transform that to 120hz will upload lag. game enthusiasts hate lag. you may turn off the 120hz placing, yet then what's the component? - 17R3W

1080p on a 32 inch is rather useless.. That is for sets around 40 inches or more. As for gaming, you want a refresh rate of at least 240 cycles.. LED and LCD TV's have a very slow response time, leading to lag and blur... (Also poor off to the sides viewing.) An LCD is very similar to an LED, except it is thinner, and uses a different type of backlighting.. Only a larger plasma has very fast response time.! (Needing NO refresh rate added...AND an extreme viewing angle low, high, or way off to the sides..)

Samsung and Panasonic are the most reliable tv in the market today. Keep in mind that you can not see the difference between 720P and 1080P in screen smaller than a 46" The only source for 1080P is the Blu Ray Dsic movies and some PS3 video games. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.

response time? i dont think you have nay idea what your talking abuot dude. heres a suggestion though, for saving money, dont worry about 1080p. unles your within 2 feet of the screen a 32" screen the human eye cant distinguish between 1080 and 720. if its 120hz and LED its good. as for gaming, doesnt work ike that a good tv is a good tv hands down.

If you want to consider a conventional LCD instead of LED-LCD, the LG set in the link below may be a good choice. 120 hz and 2.4 ms response time--should be about as good as you can get for gaming with an LCD or LED-LCD.
