Panasonic plasmas have been second only to the Kuro units for a few years in many of the "Editors Choice" and "Best of the Year" articles in the magazines. If you were looking at LCD - samsung or sony would be top brands, but Panasonic seems to do 1 thing well: plasmas. Go for it. Amazon is decent - but try a shopping comparison site like Shopzilla or Buy and learn what the ranges are. And dont forget that last years outstanding models are now discounted for the the new. Unlike trying to fix the problems with LCD - there has NOT been great changes in Plasma because it is already so good. Hit your library for Dec/Jan issues of the review magazines.

Panasonic is the top producer of Plasma tv in the market, while the rest of the manufacturers are producing LCDs. The price of this tv has dropped to around $1,300 at Costco. The other manufacturer is Sumsang and Pioneer (which is more expensive, but rated as the best Flat panel tv in the market). Go online to Home theater Magazine and read the reviews on LCD, LED and Plasma tv. July issue featured the 46" 1080P G10, and they say it's the best tv coming out of the box without any further adjustment. Hope this will help.

Panasonic is the way to go very will made good warranty and over all is about the same in my book aoc lcd tv's and then some. A lot of others brands are about the same spec just cost cheaper if you want to spend a litter less other brands are just as good. When your buying Panasonic remember your just paying for the name!
