Hello,
I just accidentally dropped my new 37" Samsung LCD tv. It fell only a short distance but it cracked the outside frame in the upper right corner. I've checked and re-checked the display and it seems to be working 100%. The frame however is busted really bad and peeling away from the screen.

Am I able to have the outer side shell repaired or am I out of luck?

Repaired--no. replaced--Yes. If you are lucky it will be one of the Samsung models that has an issue with the frame seperating (I think those are 40" sets though) and would be covered under warranty. Call your local repair shop with the complete model code and version number from the side of the set and they should be able to give an estimate on the phone (after a little research)

you can take it back to the store and tell them you got it out of the box like that. you can trade it for a new one. or maybe if it has been over the 3o days see if the warrenty covers it.

If you just bought it in the last day or so you can just return it and say it came out of the box like that.

If you used your credit card to buy, the credit card company will replace it. Call them. They replaced a new camera for me last summer after I dropped it in the toilet.
