so my dad has a apple TV and my mom has a kodi there both telling me to get one but I can't decide need some advice pros and cons about both ! please and thanks !

What do you want to do? If you just want to watch Netflix or Hulu then go with the Apple TV or even a Roku.
If you want streaming sources that aren't offered by the Apple TV, then go with Kodi.

they are all the same. they have the same apps, there is no pro or cons to any of those silly devices. by the way, if you own a blu ray player, an xbox, a wii, wii u, or playstation then you have no reason to get apple tv or anything because you can just download all the apps on any of those, and there is nothing apple offers that someone else does not
