Bear size in mind but dont let it be the deciding factor its for my new Xbox Elite and i need the best TV for it. So look at this LG and Samsung im told Samsung produce the best LCD's and LG dont produce as good LCD's? Do you think its worth me getting a smaller 23" Samsung or a 32" LG for my room? Do you thinks it worth me paying more?
Read the specifications please and tell me what you think? This is the LG which is £60 extra but offers 9more inches in terms on the screen.

This is the 23" Samsung i thought about getting?

So which should i get which is the better deal is the LG worth the £60 more and which is better for gaming? I heard the Samsung is the best for LCD's is it really? and is LG down the pecking order in terms of LCD TV's?

I think that the LG is HD Ready 720p and the Samsung is HD Ready 1080p which is better? But the other LG specifications are better like better contrast ratio and more HDMI ports? Is it worth me getting the Samsung HD ready 1080p over the LG HD ready but 1080p which has better specifications? Is this 1080p/720p the most important specification in terms of buying a TV for gaming?

Get the Sumsang tv, better quality and reliability. At the size you are looking at you won't be able to tell the difference between 720P and 1080P. If you buy a tv screen size of 46" or bigger then yes you will be able to tell the difference between 720P and 1080P. The only source in the market with 1080P is the Blue Ray disc movies. As more and more consumers accept the 1080P Blue ray, then it will become a standard, just like when the DVD first came out which replaced the VHS tape.

Well, overall the LG is better, and it really doesn't matter what people have said about Samsung having better panels in them...

LG has real good technology too....

And in your size of TV screen, the 1080 versus 720 does not hold water.

I'd put my money into the LG TV set.

One issue I have is NEITHER TV set showed response rates of the LCD crystals.

If you are gaming, a 4ms response is FAR better than an 8ms response time. That eliminates motion blur with fast games.

If you want it for gaming then you should probably get the LG as it has a bigger screen. Also, apparantly, when you are buying the LG you are saving £100 and when you are buying the Samsung, you are saving £30. I would get the LG because the sound and the pixels are good too. That's my opinion, I hope this helped!
