They are coming to install it in a few days, but in about a month I am buying 2 new TVs , (One will be replacing an old one we have now, and the other will be in a bedroom that doesnt currently have a tv. How will I hook these up? Do I have to have verizon come out again?

Your new FIOS STB (set top box) will be connected like this:

It will not matter which type of box you have requested HD, Standard either with or without the DVR:

Coax from wall to STB

Output of STB will be one of many options depending on your TV Set. The tech will have all the connection cords required.

HDMI

Component (One set of cords)

A/V (two separate cords one for video one for audio)

Coax.

If you are going to have a DVD or VCR ask the tech to run the STB through the DVD/VCR then into the TV.

If you do not have a HD TV right now and that is what you are getting just ask the tech to leave you the cords and have him/her show you how to hook them up. I have done that for a number of customers.

If a tech has to come out again, there may be a service charge.

I relatively have had Verizon Fios cyber web for over a twelve months now and it relatively is powerful. It pissed me off till now each little thing having to pay 50 greenbacks a month (my place of living development in basic terms had Fios) besides the incontrovertible fact that it relatively is plenty speedier than the competition that I used for form of ten years (Time warner/Adelphia). i presumed that grew to become into incredibly darn solid till I have been given FIOS. i've got no longer lost an cyber web connection ever in a twelve months. turn it on and it relatively is often waiting to velocity away!

You MUST use the Verizon Cable box to get the channels...they completely switched over to ALL DIGITAL signals and they will provide you with a BASIC box for a couple dollars a month.....I THINK.

But you didn't buy Verizon to get just a few channels, did you....

You bought it for ALL the STATIONs in ALL it's glory !

So get the Big Azz Box !

With all the HD channels and all the Digital channels too....

You see, once you buy HD, you only pay the montly fee for the signal, which is available to ALL TV sets....

The only difference is the BOX you rent from them.....

For your HD TV sets, get the DVR unit OR The Media Box that allows ALL boxes to record and play back the DVR recordings....that should be your MAIN box....

Then the others should be HD on HD TVs, Standard boxes on Low Def TV sets and if you have a "Once in a while I use it" TV set in your home, you go for the BASIC BOX.

Super Deluxo-vision box is $17.99

HD DVR is $12.99

Standard TV is $5.99

And Basic.....well I THINK that's a Freebie.....just ask them.

Yes. It does connect to your TV through a coaxial cable, like other cable and satellite companies, but of course, with FIOS, you will need a digital cable box. There will need to be an Input coaxial cable in the box coming from the source, and an Output coaxial cable, going to your TV coaxial input.
