My 17inch Flatscreen is getting very old. I have been looking at TV's for a while now. I have it down to 3 different models.

They are the

Insignia 26" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (NS-LCD26-09CA)

LG 22" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (22LG30)

Samsung 22" LCD HDTV** (LN22A450).

I have the insignia 26inch in there because it is $50 less than the two 22inch tv's which I am comparing the most. I am using this TV only for playing my xbox on (which does not have HDMI cables).

Which one would you get and why?

The LG and Samsung will likely give you better picture quality. Insignia isn't really a top tier brand. Samsung is the world leader in LCD quality. LG is a very strong manufacturer as well.

From that list, if the prices are comparable, I would take the Samsung hands down. The 4 series line for that size is a really solid choice for getting good picture quality. If there's a big price difference though then I might consider the LG. As its an LG30 (versus the 10 and 20 lines) I think it too could deliver a strong picture for you. And if its way cheaper, I might snag it and then use the savings to pickup another game for the Xbox.

Insignia is Local Brand ,there don't made TV at all, TV is made in China use low costs LCD Display panel . Samsung and LG are Top and second Korea electronics Manufactures , products ( not only TV ) sold and Technical support Worldwide. All LCD TV made by own Factory ( in Korea or Overseas ) , use OWN MADE LCD Display panel from Korea, because of International market, there go for total Quality not prices.is worth to paid more. For 22 inc HD , Samsung and LG are in Same Quality ( big screen 46 and above , Samsung is much better ), in pictures and sound, you eye cannot get the different between 22 inc HD by Samsung / LG model., both are equally reliable products. * 22inc Samsung and Sony use the same LCD panel by there JV display munufacture in Korea. / LG and Philips use the Same panel by LG-Philips JV , now total own by LG )

I like the LG 30 series My TV is a 37" 30 series and after using cnets dark room settings is a big wow.In reviews at cnet.com,they said the most accurate color TV tested so far.Maybe go to cnet.com in TV reviews and see what they tested in your size range, since they hook up games to them as well in there tests and relate what they find in reviews.
