I am sure there are other meanings but depends on what area one is referring to. I know it as a large South Korean chaebol (conglomerate), producing electronics (including domotics), mobile phones, and petrochemical products.

The name LG comes from an abbreviation of "Lucky Goldstar" the company's name until 1995. Before changing their name, many electronic products were sold under the brand name Goldstar, while some other household products (not available outside Korea) were sold under the brand name of "Lucky." The Lucky brand was famous for producing household cleaning products and laundry detergents in South Korea. Before massive industrialization of South Korean society, the name Lucky was synonymous with toothpaste (similar to Kleenex referring to a facial tissue paper).

I know that it is also that LG Electronics is a global leading manufacturer of Plasmas, LCDs, Mobile Phones, Computer Products, Home Appliances such as refrigerators, and other things...

As LG is not an acronym, there is no full name for LG.

On renaming the Group, they considered 'LG' to be the most appropriate for a new Group name that could integrate different images of two main streams of the Group's businesses, the Chemicals led by 'Lucky' and the Electronics & Telecommunications led by 'Goldstar,' while including various brand images of other business fields.

It stands for "Lucky Goldstar". In fact, in some countries like India, they were using this name several years back before they decided to use a shorter and much better name "LG"

If you are referring to the LG Electronic company, "LG" is not an acronym and so the company has no full name for LG. However, it has been made by combining the name from two different businesses from the company "Lucky" and "Goldstar."
