Lg plasma tv says check external input link and can't change the input back?

Question

My friend sat on the dish network remote and my tv went to component 1 input. When I tried to change it back to the tv input it wont let me. A message pops up saying check external input link. There is not even anything hooked up to any input. The Cable box is hooked up to another tv and this one runs off signal. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Tv is 50in lg plasma. Only 3 months old. Thanks

Hi, I am sorry you are having a problem changing the input on your TV. If you press the clear "TV" button on the top left side of the remote and then the "Input" button underneath, you should get a list up on the TV. When you press the input button again it will move a highlighter down the list. Go to the normal input for your satellite receiver or if you are unsure, then stop at each one for about 30 seconds and see if the satellite picture shows up on the TV. unplug tv and receiver for a minute then plug them....remove remote's battery then insert.....as a reset .

Unplug the tv for 10 minutes. Replug it. The reboot will probably fix the glitch.
