I recently purchased a 32 inch LED Vizio TV, and hooked up my Xbox 360 via component cables. I put in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to try it out on the new TV but I'm experiencing an odd delay between my controls and the actions on-screen. The lag is somewhat minimal, being only about 1 third of a second off, but noticeable enough to the point where my gameplay is affected. What is this lag due to, and how can it be fixed? The TV is 60hz, but I also have a 47 inch Vizio at 60hz, without any problems.

Turn the auto motion/refresh rate off in the menu. If it's set to 120Hz, setting it off or to 60 Hz should solve the problem.

Cant extremely factor the finger at one factor, yet you may attempt some issues to be sure whats happening. Get into your BIOS and make constructive that your mobo isn't vehicle over clocking your CPU, RAM, or FSB. some mobo's are able to doing this and that i've got in my opinion experienced issues, while the placing replaced into set to something different than known mode. different modes must be something like rapid or swifter modes. makes constructive it isn't the case. Secondly, attempt One RAM stick at a time. the reality that the sticks are detected would not recommend that it would not have inner errors. So do away with all your RAM, and deploy One ram stick at a time and play the interest. See if it nevertheless crashes. I quite have a feeling that certainly one of your RAM modules must be defective. If it purely crashes for a undeniable stick, then you definately stumbled on the priority. yet while it nevertheless crashes for all 3 while put in for my section, the priority isn't RAM. additionally make constructive there is not any dirt interior the RAM slots. Get a pressurised air can and blow any dirt off and vacuum on the same time, so as that the dirt doesn finally end up in yet another serious element of the Mobo . you additionally can attempt a various slot. Thirdly, as different participants suggested, your PSU might have not adequate grunt to attend to a heavy load. it in lots of circumstances would not bring about a crash. lots of the time, your gaming will decelerate and be very laggy. yet a crash is obtainable if the call for for skill is in basic terms too intense than the PSU can take care of in case you have already executed a clean deploy of the OS and nevertheless experiencing issues after doing each and every of the above, the priority must be the Mobo. wish this enables :)

If your TV has a Game Mode (it almost certainly has), you should enable it. I had the same issue with my new LED (a Samsung) when playing Guitar Hero games. They were unplayable.

Game mode sharpens up the response time to practically zero. It's perfect.

Usually this delay is caused by functions of the TV such as motion blur and judder reduction and all sorts of other post-processing. They make the picture look good when you're watching TV, but for games it's not required or desirable as it causes this annoying little "lag".

Look in your TV's menus. Somewhere there will be the Game Mode option I promise.
