well, for future reference, if an electronic gets wet, remove all power sources, and put in the sun to dry as long as possible.

I'm guessing your remote has probably shorted, but just take out the batteries an bring it outside for the day, and maybe just maybe it could work.

Otherwise, they're cheap. Why not just get a $10 universal philips remote like this:

Hope this helps!

don't use an hairdryer. take batteries out first then use a thin blade and prise open gently once open wipe dry the circuit board then leave for the night then put back together then put batteries back in if not working you will need to buy a new one .or a universal remote ir you have used a hairdryer the you have probably made it worse?hope this helps ps wash the rubber button pad with warm soappy water and dry

Take off the back cover , take off the membrane that carries the buttons etc , get your hair dryer on medium heat and dry the remote out like that, The dryer will work better than 6 months of drying outside or anywhere else, I am surprised none of the other posts have not suggested it. I have have done heaps like that .

There is not much you can do to fix a remote control. One of my kids threw mine in the garbage and I went to the website Mr remote. If you put in the model number of your TV, it will give you a replacement remote for purchase. They are reasonably priced.

the best thing to do it just buy a universal remote and be careful as to what one you buy spare no expense on this decision
