We are renting an appliance dolly because we have to move it down from a third floor apartment and load it onto a pick-up truck.Ive heard that if you lay a projection T.V. on its side you can mess up the picture permanently. Is that true?

I had a 60" Hitachi that started to have blue shadows after moving. I tried to fix the convergence but it did not help. I had to have someone come out and fix it. Luckily it was still under warranty. Like another person suggested I would be really careful not to jolt it in any direction.

I have a 51 inch rear projection screen TV that was laid flat in order to remove it from the truck to get it into my house. As far as screen degradation - none that I could see. What we were told is that as long as it isn't jolted in the position that it should be OK, and major shaking regardless of upright or on its side could put the projectors out of whack. Be careful and you should be fine. -good luck-
