Television sets should never never be close to hot radiators or above fireplaces. The tv set generates some heat and it has ventilation holes to draw in cold air to cool the electronics.

If you have it backed up close to a hot metal panel then the set will draw in warm or hot air. This will be less effective at keeping the circuits and transformers at their optimum temperature and although it may not directly affect the set's performance it will certainly shorten its life by (possibly) 20%. That's a lot of lost viewing time - could be life cut short by 18 months for a typical decent tv set.

As you have obviously spent a lot of money on your Home Cinema it would be very sad if you didn't treat it with respect. It's a shame that you didn't plan the location before you bought it. You will have to keep as much of a gap as possible between the back of the telly and the radiator. 10cm is cutting it a bit fine, try at least 15cm.

If you can, fit a thermostatic valve to the radiator and never turning it above half way. That will safeguard your television.

if u move it out a little from the radiator it should be grand just as long as its not right up against it

Move it to another position a TV should never be in such a position.
