I have been noticing a big problem with TV programming lately.. the commercials are 10 times louder than the shows I am watching.. I don't know if this is a new problem or if I just didn't notice it as much before. But my question is, is there some way to deal with this? I know there are TV's you can buy that will put a ceiling on the volume level.. but is there something I can add to my TV VCR combo to deal with this.

I have a roommate so I usually watch TV in my own room.. so I could possibly use headphones too if that was necessary.. does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?

The problem was gone a few years following the FCC

writing in to the regulations that Commercial Volumes

can not be amplified

However the stations found a way around it

THEY lower the program volume

in our area CW is the worst and CBS

they lower the program volume so much

that sometimes MAX volume isnt enough to

hear a program clearly

Anyways the practice is still in violation of the intent

of the FCC regulations

Its just contacting the FCC is so dang hard now

since the Clinton budget cuts

Ohh goody we get him back soon as First Lady :)

No! while is their meddling into each little component to our lives going to end. advertisement quantity stages are stressful at best and via no skill worth Congress' time and potential. it is in basic terms yet another in-highway into their starting to be administration over the yank public.

I don't think it is possible, you might have to buy a t.v. with that function or maybe your own suggestion to buy headphones
