i want to buy tv of 46 inches.i was in confusion in either plasma is better or led is better?

i want to buy tv of 46 inches.some willl tell that plasma is better when compared to led and some will tell that led is better i was in confusion. i was decided to buy tv either in thi following company only samsung or sony please tell me plasma is better or led is better

Sony don't make plasma televisions any more, so if you want a Sony, it will have to be an LED / LCD.

Panasonic, Samsung and LG all make plasma televisions.



Anyone who says that plasma TVs use a lot of power or run hot, has absolutely no idea what they are talking about and they can be safely ignored.



For a 46" television, a plasma is still the best choice. They have deeper blacks, better contrast and no lag (all LED / LCD televisions have lag). If you want a great TV for movies or sport, you need a plasma.



The TVs that were dubbed "...the best televisions ever made" by the professional reviewers, was the Pioneer 'Kuro' range - which were plasmas.

To the person who says LCD TV's suck LED TVs ARE LCD!!! LED is merely an ad on to LCD to improve contrast and allows such screens to be thinner. I guess they would be greener but since LCD has become more than Plasmas cheap brother in the under 42" market I'm sure either choice you make is going to be decent.

But really the only way to tell is to ask for a demo of a Small selection of 46" tellys with the same source and pick out the one you feel best for you

Plasma is really good but has a lot of glare so if your tv is in front of a window then I would suggest not getting a plasma but it has great color/contrast and there is no problems anymore like the guy is saying that was like over 10yrs ago when they came out. LED is the best because it is thin, green (like saving the easrth green) and produces very nice colors like plasmas, it is only more expensive obviously. LCD SUCKS!!!!

Samsung UE46D6530 is great. Great colours. It looks so stylish and much more expensive then what we purchased it.



Your child can watch you tube for videos so no more switching from TV to DVD etc. You can talk to people on Skype and all the social networks are there so all in all FANTASTIC.

don't buy Plasma. older Plasmas use as much as 500watts of electricity per hour the same as running 5 old fashion light bulbs, it will make your room HOT. Plasma brightness reduces by 50% over 5 years. that means you may have to repalce your plasma in 5 years. L.E.D. are COOLER and will last many times longer and use alot less electricity-blurey
