I'd like to connect my Sony Vaio to a Samsung Plasma TV from/using vga connector, but the signal is not recognized by the tv. It works for my HP Laptop but not the Sony..

You might want to check and make sure that you have your sony laptop screen resolution set to something the TV can display. Most VGA inputs only support a few resolutions.

Check to make sure the laptop regonises that you have connected it, and make sure the TV is on the right channel. I suggest you don't connect a computer to a Plasma TV unless your watching a movie or playing a game, the start bar may get burnt into the TV.

I hate to tell you, but the sony vaio and Samsung tvs are incompatible. Call tech support and they will tell you this.
