What is wrong with my neighbors Samsung television?

She has a Samsung Flat Screen TV (not sure what size or type).

Serial Number: Z1MC3CTB106290H

The problem is when after we turn it on, the screen stays some shade of blue. We see no display other than the fact it lights up. We press the menu key, but nothing comes up. I have tried to change the source, the screen will light up, but nothing happens. What is wrong with her tv?

If you have selected a source which has something active plugged into it and you get no pic, the item, the input, the cable etc., all could be at fault. You need to turn off the tv and try plugging a blu ray or dvd player into a source. Turn the tv back on and be sure you select the input where you plugged the player and see what you get. If still nothing, then some component inside the tv is dead and she'll need to get service from a pro.
