My Magnavox Television Keeps Switching Channels BY ITSELF!?

Hi all,
My 39" Magnavox LED TV keeps switching to channel 23 on its own. It's not a sticky remote, and I don't think it's interference from another remote unless there's someone who's constantly and only changing to channel 23 every five minutes. I have no idea why it's happening and it's incredibly annoying, especially because I just bought it new two weeks ago. Does anyone have a clue what's going on?

I'd try going into the menu and then to channel setup check to see if it's set to Air or to Cable.If you've cable then you want it on cable otherwise it will not pick up the channels properly.Once you set it to cable run the channel auto detect.Make sure if you're using a cable box with cable out running to the TV be sure you have it on when you run the channel auto detect.You may want to try and reset the TV to it's original factory default settings by unplugging the power cord to the TV for a few mins.Also sometimes you can unplug the TV and press/hold down the TV's power button for 30-60 seconds or the TV may have a reset feature under settings.The cable box may require resetting.



Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if it's not a cable setting or a cable box issue or a bad connection/cable the TV's tuner board might be faulty.

Take it back - and I strongly recommend buying a better brand if possible. Magnavox was once a premier brand known for their high end console stereos and premium television sets. But it's not 1969 anymore... and they are just a budget brand name owned by Funai (the $98 black Friday TV brand).
