I would like to buy a DTH connection (likely to be TATA SKY or AIRTEL) and use my LCD monitor to connect to it. Kindly help me by suggesting a good TV tuner card which can serve this purpose.

IMHO, they are mostly commodity devices so get whatever one has A/V input and is compatible with your hardware and OS. Hauppauge is one of the top brands. Avermedia is up there also.
If you want to watch more directly on the monitor, you can get VGA tuner boxes, which you use independant of the computer.

A 26" lcd monitor will price you around $650, a good television tuner card around $a hundred and fifty-200. If you need a better reveal, you possibly can most of the time get the tv more cost-effective, because a bigger monitor screen could be a precise order for many firms. Don't know of any specific problems with tv tuner cards, they have been round a even as so most problems have been worked out.

I would recommend you to buy Aver TV Volar GO (A833) which comes with an ease-of-use remote control, allowing users to take more complete control over their TV viewing entertainment. With just one USB connection; users can experience PC-TV entertainment simply, on any laptop or desktop computer whenever they want, wherever they like.
