I'm considering buying one of these two HDTV's...

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-VIERA-TC-P65VT50-65-Inch-Plasma/dp/B00752VLSG/ref=sr_1_5?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1357301585&sr=1-5&keywords=panasonic

And I just can't decide which is better. By better, I mean better picture quality. People say Samsung is the best TV brand, but that Panasonic makes better Plasma TV's.

Your opinions? Should I go with the Panasonic?

Generally Panasonic has the slightly better image quality than Samsung. This is because Panasonic has made it their mission to make one of the best plasmas. Samsung is a close second and chances are if you calibrated both displays you could not tell the difference.

Samsung televisions with the "Smart Hub" got a great review in the Jan issue of Home Theater magazine.

While I love the idea of perfect color calibration - a LOT of my current TV use is streaming. Samsung runs Hulu/Netflix/Amazon video through it's internal circuits to up-convert and smooth things and according to the reviewer this produces a better picture. He compares this to the same video coming from an external media server like the Roku/Western Digital box's.

If you only watch BluRay or other high-quality sources and rarely watch broadcast TV or streaming - then go with the Panasonic. But if you watch a lot of other, less-than-perfect or streaming services, the Samsung with the Smart Hub might be a better choice to match your viewing habits.

Sorry I could not help you decide between the two, but hopefully I gave you something else to consider.

Get the iPhone. To me the Samsung Galaxy is just a show off. All they've that is higher is better hardware features. Program wise they lack in security, they are open supply to now not handiest your however hackers as well, and they get viruses and crash extra regularly. I've additionally heard that their cameras are to glitchy. Youll have a greater chance with the iPhone than you could possibly with a Samsung. If you need an Android get the HTC One.
