Why has my tv gone purple on the screen?

Right well.. this morning i went to turm my TV on and the colours on the screen have gone weird, its all purple around the edges and then it goes orange and theres green in the middle, I can still see the programmes but I just cant see the colours. any one know whats wrong with it? btw, ive tried unplugging and re plugging in everything but that hasnt worked,

Depends on what type of tv you have. If it's a crt type tv, make sure there are no magnetic devices around your set such as speakers. If it's lcd or plasma, your screen is going out.

Sounds like the tv has had a magnet placed too close to it, Maybe a surround speaker.

A local tv repair shop should be able to restore the correct colour using a degaussing tool.

You probably has a Sony tv just like me. Well, its unfixable :( ive tried every thing. So i just bought a new LED TV. ITs has a warrenty
