I bought a 3D SONY LED TV. Its working great and am watching 3d movies by copying them on to my usb (32 GB San Disk).Problem is that i cant copy 3d movies greater than some 4GB on to the USB Drive. But most of 3D movies are greater than 10GB :-(

I later found that unable to copy is due to the windows file system FAT size restriction. so I formatted the USB Drive into NTFS. So a 12GB 3d movie was easily copied. But now the funny part, TV does not detect the USB Drive. So Still cant play those movies.

Also tried the external HD. But seems to be not getting enough power to run the drive from TV USB Port.
can any one suggest a solution?

Sounds like your TV's firmware does not read NTFS. Sorry, you might just be out of luck. You might try getting an external player like a appletv, boxee, or wd tv which will be able to play off your computer (I use my xbox360).

I have recently purchased a TV with USB and have found that the Device wont read NTFS or exFAT. I am about to try FAT32 once it finishes formating(approx 6 hour wait)

Reading technical information on the web, I am finding that almost all the comments are saying use FAT32 format.

my drive is 64GB, so it will be interesting how much space will be available using FAT32.

why on earth modern TV's cant use exFAT is beyond me, I also have a 2TB HDD which is formated exFAT. the TV wont use that either.

I doubt it. You need exFAT.

Use a powered USB hub to link the TV and HD.

Format the drive and or USB stick using the TV or a PC (Vista SP1 or Windows 7)

It depends on the TV, if it supports NTFS.

As I see it, you connect your blu-ray player and play your orignal Blu-rays, or a box compatible with the legitimate service providing the content.

Your Hard Disk Drive must be formatted in FAT32. You can copy all the data into any DVD or in any external drives. Format the Drive in NTFS. Restore the RAR file in that NTFS partition and extract again.

hi,

No New Technology File System(NTFS) is not supported in Sony..FAT32 with compression can help you..

but what i suggest you is don't directly connect all the pen drives to your TV instead plug them to your B-ray-DVD player.

here you are... instead of putting media into your drive you can use an HDMI cable... that can be helpful to play any media file as well as your will work like a monitor.
