The V10 series from Panasonic is the #1 HDTV right now! It beats out all other HDTV's...including LED! http://reviews.cnet.com/best-high-definition-tvs/?tag=leftColumnArea1.0

Plasma's also have better motion sharpness then LED LCD's! Plasma's response times are near instant at .001ms while LED(LCD) best is 2ms. Plasma is 2,000 times faster in this area!

Plasma's also have faster refresh rates at 600hz! LCD's best is 240hz. Two and half times slower then Plasma! These two areas make Plasma's better at producing sharper images with fast motion content like sports, movies and gaming!

I guess if you can get a better deal on the Sharp, then go with it! But if they're about the same, go with the Panasonic V10. You won't be disappointed!

I wouldn't own a SHARP tv. Panasoninc is wonderful. I would get Panasonic or Toshiba. Actually, I wouldn't get either, because digital tv is a hoax and a scam, and I'm not spending a lot of money on a tv because there's not much good on it anyway. About all I watch is the news, and DVDs and PBS television with my two yr old grandson. TV pretty much sucks.

as a brand name (known products and issues) i prefer panasonic. sharp doesn't sell the same products in the US they sell elsewhere, for starters... the good stuff anyway.

i agree w/ rob tho, samsung is a superior product and now, rather than either lcd or plasma, you may want to look at the new LED, which samsung is spear heading... they're fantastic and much better picture and color and brightness, including better blacks as there is no back lights on an LED...

not sure about sharp...but if you get a big discount the i would do it.

you should check out Samsung, they have the best lcd and led tvs.

Panasonic makes a really good plasma. but they make a horrible LCD set. not sure what kind you're talking about.

Go with your gut, I don't think it matters, but if you get a good discount sharp should be your choice. They all have very similar HD but it depends the the i.

when I bought mine I had the chance to see many brands side by side. Polaroid had the best picture hands down.

Why limit yourself to only two brands?
