It wont be Hi def-but anything you play off of that PS3 will look so much better- the technology is just outrageous- Ive had one since the second week they were out.

NOPE....your old TV will only provide a LOW DEF picture, and your Blu Ray Player will ALSO REQUIRE A LOW DEF VIDEO OUTPUT TOO.....

So you better check that Blu-Ray for the OLD Yellow/White/Red connections on the back before you buy it...

Nope. In order to see hi def images, you need both hi def sources (such as the PS3) and hi def monitors (such as a nice LCD tv).

Without both, you will only get standard 480i video.

Does your television help HDMI or DVI-D? If no longer an HD-DVD participant or Blu-ray would possibly no longer play in 1080i, because of the fact which you would be making use of factor Video as a connection. in the adventure that your television does help HDMI then confident, the participant can output in 1080i. finally, i'd propose while you're particularly consious of what format will win, evaluate getting the hot LG HD-DVD/Blu-ray participant, so which you would be set to pass!

No. If your TV isn't hi-def, then you won't see your movies that way.
