Can you recommend a well priced 27 or 32 inch TV. Is flat screen worth it? Should we get a digital set?

We need a new TV for our bedroom. It's quite a large room so a 27 inch set is the minimum size. We don't want to go overboard but are thinking we should go 'digital'...your suggestions are appreciated.

Flat screen is worth it. I wish I had gotten one instead of the POS I bought.
