I can change the volume/channel on the ACTUAL t.v easily but my satellite wont work. I have to stand in a certain spot and hold the remote at a certain angle and lately it hasn't been working at all. I know it's not the batteries because I put in fresh ones and everything works except for satellite. what the hell is going on!/??????!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Claudia, I am sorry that you are having a problem with your TV2 DISH remote. The TV2 remote works using UHF (Ultra High Frequencies) which is what allows it to control the receiver in another room. What you are experiencing is UHF interference. The little remote antenna on the back of the receiver is being interfered with by UHF signal for the TV and possibly other electronics surrounding the receiver. Unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds will give you a temporary relief but to resolve the issue, it is best to extend out the antenna using a few feet of coax cable and a barrel connector. Then just move the antenna closer to whatever direction TV2 is from the receiver (See attached link). Each component can be purchased at any local electronics store for a few dollars. This will resolve the issue completely.

Make sure to press the button that activates it for the satelite before trying to press any buttons.

I'd contact your dish provider for a new remote.
