Hi. I'm going to buy a TV for my new home but have no idea what size to get. The place where I'm going to buy from (Philips agents) have some really good experts and great advice, but I'd rather ask someone outside the box so I don't get conned.

My viewing distance is about 10-12feet from TV to sofa. And I'd like to buy an LED TV and not sure if LED/CRT etc would effect screen sizes. Any help would be great, thanks.

PS: Do OLED TV's exist?

I recommend you to buy 46" Class (45.9" Diag.) 6800 Series LED HDTV because of its HDMI inputs,1080P resolution and more. Here you are overlooking one thing. It is Google TV device.Google TV device gives you a real taste of TV entertainment. You can enjoy movies, videos, games including sensor based games, android applications, send and receive mails and many more on TV through Google TV device. You can get pleasure of TV,internet and android apps on the same screen with Google TV device.I m contributing a link, give a look.

well it depends on how big of a tv you can fit and weather or not you think bigger is better. i would go with something around 42" to 50". others will say always go for the 60". but if you want smaller i would choose maybe a 37". a warning a 42-50" led tv will be very expensive, i would wait for a price drop. and im sure you can find a oled tv somewhere but it will be even more expensive then an led tv.

55" is a good size for viewing at 10'.
