Generally around November - January. November and December are holiday sales and January is the Super Bowl sale. The problem is that the "sales" might sound good, but in reality they're not that great. For example Best Buy might have $300 off a TV which sounds good, but their original price might be $500 higher than what you can get online.

I wouldn't bother with trying to wait until a sale. Just pick out a few TVs in the size you want that look good. Then look around in stores and online and figure out about how much the TV will cost. Then when you find it for about that price just go ahead and buy it.

An easy place to check the price of TVs is here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26node%3D724227011%257C724228011%252C979929011%26ref%255F%3Damb%255Flink%255F6348842%255F5%26field-availability%3D-1&tag=patricksnet-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Generally its around March when the new models come out and they want to clear inventory, just like cars. But with the weak economy and the fight for retail sales, this season could be the best.

The best time to buy is when you need it (when you are buying it because you need it and not because it's on sale.)

On another note, check out Plasma TV. Comparing to an LCD it's MUCH cheaper and the color is better.

liquid crystal show is extra solid with an prolonged show screen existence, Plasma has extra possibility of having the show screen burn in by utilising a non changing image if left unattended for extra desirable than quarter-hour and additionally has the opportunity of having broken because of gas leakage. between the two Plasma has the extra advantageous image, yet for my area i'd circulate with a liquid crystal show television.....
