I highly recommend you go online to Home Theater Magazine and read all the reviews on tv, along with the pro and con of each technology. You will notice that Panasonic has more Plasma tv being recommended than any type of tv from other manufacturer. Home Theater Magazine named the Panasonic Plasma tv model/series VT25 as the best tv for 2010, it was also a 3D tv. Hope this will help you out.

Ok I'm sure you have done some research already and many people are going to say that plasma has better 3D. But while that may have been true, you are only getting a 720i picture which is a bit "softer" picture like something you might see at a movie theater.

But if you want FULL HD 3D then you need to get a LED 3D TV. This will give you 1080p (which is the highest resolution and a refresh rate of 240Hz is recommended. (But this will will give you a very crisp, bright picture which is excellent for 3D) Sony has a great picture, but it's 3D isn't all that great. It's very "jittery" when watching with the glasses. I suggest reading all about Samsung's 3D tvs since they ARE the BEST!

Depending on how important 3D is and how much you are willing to fork out will depend on the ULTIMATE 3D experience (Like the D9500) or you can get another less expensive TV which is the Samsung 65" both of these tv's and more can be found at the link below:

"I would say LED-LCD. Plasma sets have screen burning problems, heavy, release a lot of heats, and not energy efficient at all. You won't have ghosting problem with LED TVs with high refreshing rate either.

However, if you are buying a 3D TV I would like to recommend you passive 3D TV sets. There are two kinds of 3D technology which are active and passive. Active technology is used by Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, and Sharp. Companies like LG, Vizio, Toshiba, and Philips use passive 3D technology. However, Samsung and Sony publicized they might change their technology to passive for the following years because people have complained about heavy and uncomfortalbe glasses of active glasses and flickering that cause people eye strain and headaches. I read LG's new passive TV models are receiving good ratings this year. Check their TVs if you haven't made a decision yet."

LCD stands for liquid crystal display which means that behind the screen there are thousands of little crystals that enhance the image. If you get an LED TV it improves the black colors and contrasts in your picture. But at the same time LED suffers from motion blur so you will have to get a 120hz or higher refresh rate TV if you dont want to see it, this will cost a bit more than before but will drasticly change the way it looks. All in all i say they are about the same but LED would look a little bit better because it can show full HD. here is a website that i found that might help you understand the terms.

panasonics vt series tv has been named twice in a row best rated tv of the year, best picture etc.

plasmas are hands down the best in terms of picture quality, especially in 3d where you have to divide the refresh rate by half for each eye. plasmas have a faster refresh rate than led/lcd and for that you will constantly get a better picture over them. plus they have better color and with the new panels panasonic is making you have less and less worry about glare. the only real pro to a led is that it is brigher so if you watch a lot of daytime viewing and you have lots of sunlight coming in, you might want an led, but even still i would recommend a plasma, you just cant beat the refresh rate/colors it gives out compared to a led.
