Can you fix or remove a scratch on a Sony Trintron TV?

Question

I was moving the TV and somehow a few scratches got on the lower right corner. They are not deep but they are wide so they affect the picture. I am hoping I can fix or repair these or have them fixed. Let me know.

if the cabinet is silver, soft scrub and a little water



if the cabinet is black, flat black spray paint ( buffing will make black cabinets worse)

If the scratches are real light you can buff them out.
