What is the difference between Samsung UN46d6050tf and Samsung un46d6000sf?
these are both very similar led hdtv's. i've read up on their specs, but should their be a noticeable (even if slight) difference in image quality? should the 6050 model look more advanced (read better), more realistic? i asked a target salesperson what the difference in models were. he said that sometimes they are assigned different numbers because they go out to certain stores exclusively. in this case he thought that perhaps the 6050 model was shipped out exclusively to costco. is this true? i had both, returned the 6050 and went for the 6000. somehow i think the 6050 might have more of a holographic look to it--though i can't say this with certainty, as i did not get to test the 6050 with directv programming or anything other than 2 bluray movies. anyhow, i want to know if there is anyone who can tell me with certainty if one image should look better than the other. thank you all! oh, i will say that when i google the 6050 it leads me to mostly manuals or tv information about the 6000 model. further, the 6050 led tv came with a manual that was for both of these models.

Samsung uses the last two digits in the model number to indicate store-specific models. The differences are cosmetic.

As far as differences in image--unless you calibrate the set you can have a noticeable difference with two identical models setting side-by-side. This is especially true if the LED panels are from different sources.

Ask yourself this simple question. Why does Samsung need to keep evolving newer series and models. Ans: Because they themselves are not too happy with the picture quality and seriously feel that there is scope for improvement. I for one am not too happy with LCD images as a whole. They lack the reality and the black levels which I was looking for. It is here that the Plasma TV technology scores over the LCD. Just have a look at the Panasonic Plasma and you will realize the detailed picture which you have always wanted and the warmth in the picture which will gratify your heart and make you say. "THIS is what I was looking for all along" Check it out for yourself and see if you feel the same way. Panasonic makes the best and most reasonably priced plasma's. Pioneer too makes them very good but at 6 times the cost. The choice is yours.

You can get a better looking plasma TV for almost half the price as these LED TV's.

Check out the top 5 HDTV's with 3D listed for 2011. They are all plasma and some of these

models are 1000 -1700 at most depending on size. LED is not even on the list.

Take a good look at this and save your money from the LED scam.

They all have 3D and LG's LED made 5th place sorry. Top 4 is plasma. I can't wait to get the VT30 panasonic.

The higher the number the better quality and the higher the price
