It seems to me that any OLED TV is 4k, but not every 4K TV is OLED. Is there a difference? Is OLED better than just 4K?

Thanks!

OLED is the type of screen it is. Normal TVs are either Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), LED (Light Emmiting Diode... but actually just the source of backlight for LCD screens), and Plasma. The problem with LCDs and LEDs are the poor blacks (since the LCD is trying to block the backlight) and plasma has poor life and suffers from 'burn in'.

OLED is Organic Light Emiting Diodes and produce both the back lighting and the picture rendering. Thus when there is a black part of the picture, they simply turn off. They are much brighter than an LCD or LED TV and have a virtually unlimited life.. unlike a Plasma.

4K is just how high definition the TV is. Normal high def is 780p or 1080p... which is how many horizontal lines of pixels there are. 4K is 4000 horizontal lines. It can be any type, though you probably won't find an LCD or Plasma in 4K.

Yes it is true that OLED TV is better. If you want to know why it is better, you should go into details. There you will also get to know about the difference between those two as well.

Whether it is better than 4K or not.

Comparing OLED with 4K is like comparing apples with mangoes.

OLED is a display technology like LCD and Plasma is. While 4K represents screen resolution like Full HD, Ultra HD etc.

OLED screens are made of tiny self-illuminating pixels. If you have 4096 x 2160 pixels in your TV then it is a 4K TV.

Most of the OLED TVs in the market are having 4K resolution and they are also very expensive.

OLED is a technology for the display.

4K refers to the resolution for the display

They aren't comparable.
