i been using my lcd tv for my ps3 and lately while i am playing the image burns in when i go from the game to the menu.....does the image burn in ruin your tv in the long run??

if you're seeing the burnt in image for that split second it's not going to hurt your tv. my husband plays his ps3 on our 46" westinghouse lcd and it's not a problem. we've had both our tv and ps3 for 2 yrs. our tv has a screensaver option. we can have the screensaver pop up after 30 seconds if an image is up longer than 30 seconds. especially when he pauses the game to grab a snack. just don't leave an image up for more than 10 minutes. that could hurt your tv in the long run. you'll see the image as a faint shadow when watching tv or dvd's.



to fix the burnt in image just display a white background for a few minutes.

Are you sure it's not image retention? It would take a lot of non-moving images to even start burning an LCD TV set...
