I have a LCD 1080p TV. Pricing is very important for me. Is there a difference in picture quality?

As far as I know, there no significant difference in the picture quality between Bell and Rogers. I don't know much about Shaw though. I have heard that some people rate Bell's picture quality a little bit higher than Rogers', but I haven't really seen anyone objectively test them both.

One of the advantages of Rogers is that there is lots of content available through On Demand, including HD content. The On Demand TV shows and some of the movies are included free with your cable package.

Bell, as with any satellite service is susceptible to outages during bad weather whereas Rogers is usually unaffected.

From what I've heard, people much prefer the digital set-top boxes and PVRs available through Bell compared to those available through Rogers. I will have to admit, I have Rogers and the user interface on the set-top boxes is ugly. Not only are all the UI graphics stretched and all pixelated, but the interface in general is not very user friendly, especially if you want to search for a TV show for example. The poor user interface doesn't affect the actual video performance though.

Bell has 720p HD, but more HD channels.

Shaw Direct carries HD channels in 1080i, but does not have that many. With most channels, you get the HD version if you subscribe to the SD version. Don't get their DVR though. It is old, and they are supposed to launch a new one this year.
