I'm not quite sure to what you're referring, but if you're questioning whether or not to buy a 3-D TV, the answer is definitely NO. Games will not be made in 3-D. The 3D TV's require special sets of glasses that cost ~$150. Most sets only come with one or two. If you have four people in your family, it's going to set you back close to $400 just in 3D glasses. The 3D TV's have an algorithm to produce 3D effects from sources that don't output in 3D, and it's terrible. The only thing a 3D TV is good for is Blue Ray, and there just aren't many movies in 3D in the first place.

The 3D tvs are just starting to come out and they are more expensive than the normal tv, also you will need the 3D blu ray disc player to play it. Keep in mind that there are only a handful of 3D software in the market today. I would wait at less a year went they get everything ironed out, along with more software. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs along with the pro and con of Plasma and LCD/LED tvs. You will notice that Panasonic has a tv recommended in each price category of entry level to the high end. While Samsung, Sony and Toshiba (the other top brand) does not (April issue). Other brand like LG, Sharp, Sanyo and Vizio (the next top brands) did not even get mentioned. If you read yahoo questions, you will notice that 95% of tv problems are from LCD/LED tvs and 95% of those are off brands. Hope this will help you out.

If you ask me, now is a better time than ever to buy a plasma TV. LED-LCD TVs do exceed LCD TVs in picture quality, but they still don't surpass plasmas, and probably never will. Plus they're still a bit expensive, while plasma HDTVs, including 1080p models, are selling at competitive prices.

Plasmas can actually be quite good for gaming. The fast CRT-like response time is a plus for fast-action games (such as shooters), and the wider viewing angles are a plus for when there's multiple players. As long as you go with a good brand (such as Panasonic or Samsung), burn-in should not be an issue.
