When it comes to TV...especially Plasma...I DO NOT recommend going with a cheap off brand!

Cheap TV's are cheap for a reason! The are made up of components that do not last and will cost you more money in the long run! If you plan to keep your TV for more then a year or two, go with a quality name brand.

Here are the ONLY brands that recommend for Plasma's:

1. Pioneer-super expensive and rare to find.

2. Panasonic-best performing and most affordable Plasma manufacturer(see links below).

3. Samsung-Same as Panasonic but slightly lacking in reliability compared to Panasonic.

Best Prices also Quality Plasma TV is by Sanyo ( only those 2009 March onward production / model . is Panasonic Plasma Quality / Technology ! since Sanyo become part of Panasonic , there share the same Plasma Technology use almost the same Component.

Top Plasma TV is by Panasonic .Quality + reliable + reasonable prices , with New Plasma display , ie less heat- not so hot now. ,less power consumption ( W ). life time as good as LCD . 60,000 hours now compare to old plasma 40,000 hours.Anti burn in circuit , not so easy to burn in even long hours for Games.

Korea also manufactures good Quality Plasma by Samsung / LG. the 2 Korean also manufactures own Plasma Display panel , product is consider quality, but Japan Plasma technology is better . ( Korea LCD/LED technology may over Japan ).

Cheap reliable / quality Plasma go for Sanyo even Hitachi * but make sure is 2009 feb/march product *

Advice for Panasonic Plasma . is top quality new technology .

LG / Samsung Plasma okay.

Never touch other brand Plasma TV. is cheap ! is also junk !

Depends on what you mean by "cheaper."

Cheap brands are not good brands when it comes to TV's.

Pioneer has been, well, a pioneer in plasma technology, but their TV's are very expensive.

Panasonic is also an excellent brand. Not quite as expensive though.

Samsung is pretty good as well.

Lucky-Goldstar is all right.

Sanyo is all right, now that they're made by Panasonic. Lower cost as well, so this may be what you're looking for.

Stay away from Vizio. Even Philips, which was once a pretty good brand TV, is a name you may want to avoid, as they've turned over all their TV production to Funai, a cheap Chinese brand.

Do not buy a cheaper brand, save a little more and get something good, you will not regret it. Check out plasma from panasonic, most else is not worth looking at. If you win the lottery check out Pioneer.

I'm sorry but that's an oxymoron. When it comes to flat panels there is no best for cheap. The TVs are either good quality (Song Panasonic Samsung LG) or garbage (RCA Insignia Vizio Sanyo (Insert crappy chinese brand here))

LG are cheap, Samsung are cheap and to a certain extent so are Panasonic. I wouldn't go for any of the other cheaper brands.

You get basically what you pay for.

Start with Panasonic and work your way down, to what you can afford.

Mainly CHECK THEM OUT CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTING WITH YOUR CASH.

Don't just listen to personal opinions if it suits you it is fine.
